The Garden Wall

Natalie stared up the wall at the climbing roses a humming bird catching her eye.
"Oh to fly up high and away little bird the wind in my face and running through my hair. Oh to be free to be with who I choose and who I want to be." She breathed and glanced out one of the stone windows glancing down the three stories to the ground. The sky garden was beautiful yes but it did nothing to lighten her spirits. It's sweet smelling roses reminded her of how trapped she was in her station and duty. She sighed and gazed out the stone window to the ground far below wondering what he may be doing. Wishing to see his striking face and sandy blond hair again. Maybe perhaps kiss those lips of his or run her hand over that muscled chest. She looked away from window and shook her head.
"A princess should not think in such a way, my dear Natalie. Especially not for a palace Mage." Came the soothing voice she so had longed to hear. The voice of the man she had so longed to see. She turned and could not contain the smile that spread across her face as he glided towards her, his crystal blue eyes watching her intently. His pale dirty blond hair with it's silver highlights pulled back in a neat braid that ran down his back. His darkly tanned skin complemented by his midnight blue robe. He stoped before her and reached up and plucked a rose from the wall smelled it and smiled then offered it to her " A beautiful flower for a flower far more beautiful" he breathed as he handed her the rose staring into her green and golden orbs with thos crystal clear pools. Oh why did she have to be who she was? A princess and a Mage would never be allowed, but if there was only a way for it to be. She couldn't help but smile even though inside she hurt.
